About the Enforcement 40: Securities Docket’s Enforcement 40 is our list of the 40 best and brightest securities enforcement defense lawyers. Based on nominations, input from numerous senior lawyers in the field, and considerable research, we tried to answer a simple question:
Who would you hire if you, your company or a family member was faced with an important SEC enforcement matter?
We also imposed three key requirements:
Candidates for the Enforcement 40 must be in the private sector for at least the past two years.
Candidates for the Enforcement 40 must have a practice that is at last 50% dedicated to SEC enforcement defense work.
Candidates for the Enforcement 40 must be attorneys (as opposed to accountants, economists or other experts)
