Seeking Nominations for Securities Docket’s "Enforcement Elite" for 2025 and for our "Enforcement Hall of Fame"

Securities Docket is seeking nominations for our “Enforcement Elite” for 2025, as well as for the 2025 class of our “Enforcement Hall of Fame.” Selections for both will be announced at Securities Enforcement Forum D.C. 2025 on Thursday, October 30, 2025.

Enforcement Elite

Securities Docket’s “Enforcement Elite” is our list of the best securities enforcement defense counsel in the industry. Specifically, this list honors professionals who not only have the right stuff to handle bet-the-company matters, but are also the kind of defensive specialists critical to have on speed-dial should the SEC’s Division of Enforcement come calling.

Securities Docket created its inaugural list in 2013, and updated it in 2017 , 2020, and 2024. The list is guided by a simple question: 

Who would you hire if you, your company or a family member was faced with an important SEC enforcement matter?

In addition, there are three basic requirements:

• Candidates for the Enforcement Elite must be in the private sector for at least the past two years.

• Candidates for the Enforcement Elite must have a practice that is at last 50% dedicated to SEC enforcement defense work.

• Candidates for the Enforcement Elite must be attorneys (as opposed to accountants, economists or other experts).

Enforcement Hall of Fame

Securities Docket’s “Enforcement Hall of Fame” is our list of the lawyers who have made the most extraordinary contributions to, and impact upon, the field of securities enforcement over their lifetimes. Members of the Enforcement Hall of Fame must be lawyers with at least 35 years of legal or other professional experience following law school, including significant experience working at the SEC.

Securities Docket created the inaugural, eight-person class of its Enforcement Hall of Fame in 2014. 2025 will be the first-ever update to our Enforcement Hall of Fame!

If you would like to nominate someone for the Enforcement Elite for 2025, or for the Enforcement Hall of Fame, please let us know in 200 words or less why your nominee should be included in either of these extraordinary groups. The deadline for submissions is Friday, October 3, 2025 and we will announce the Enforcement Elite and Enforcement Hall of Fame honorees at Securities Enforcement Forum D.C. 2025, which will be held Thursday, October 30, 2025, at the Mayflower Hotel in Washington, D.C.
